truTap™ Basics

The new TruTap 2.0 mobile app puts your card at your fingertips, allowing cardholders to manage their account and rewards with a tap, in a snap. After downloading the app, cardholders can login to gain uninhibited access to TruCash prepaid card functions through their mobile phone.

Your information security is our top priority. truTap™ uses bank-grade encryption to protect any personal information that you upload. Extra layers of protection exist by setting up passwords and PINs to be required each time you open the app.

truTap™ is available for download on Android (4.4+), iOS (8.0 and up).

The truTap™ mobile application is designed specifically for use with TruCash branded Prepaid Cards. Users can access their TruCash Prepaid card account on the go, anytime with the truTap™ mobile application. Before using the truTap app, ensure you have registered and activated your TruCash card by visiting the URL on the back of your card.

After you have downloaded and installed the truTap™ mobile application onto your mobile phone, launch the mobile application. To log in, enter the last 8 digits of your card number, CVV and account password that you selected during registration.

Note: Users must have a registered card to login, to register your prepaid card, please visit the URL on the back of your card.

To ensure you always have the latest version of the app, turn on automatic updates for the App Store or Google Play in the Settings menu of your phone.

For Android smartphone and iOS users, a password is a personal verification selected when you register your card. It helps keep your information safe from unauthorized access. To register your prepaid card, please visit the URL on the back of your card.

Note: You can change your password at any time by visiting the URL on the back of your card, login and edit your profile information.

If you have forgotten, or would like to reset your password, click forgot password on the login screen. Your password will be emailed to your registered email address, that you set up during card registration.

Simply login and navigate to the home screen, where you will see your balance and card information.

truTap™ does not charge a fee for download or use of the app. Certain features in truTap™ require an Internet connection and standard data and text messaging charges may apply. Features such as card to card transfer are subject to the terms and conditions of the card. Viewing your transaction history with truTap™

You can always view your transactions when you click on ‘Transaction History’ section of your truTap™ mobile application. By default, the application will display one month of transaction history.

Yes. To search your transactions by a specific date, tap the calendar in the left-hand corner and choose the date range you wish to view.

Sending money with truTap™

Yes. With truTap™ application you can transfer funds from your account using the card-to-card transfer function. Transfer funds to friends, family or colleagues with a registered TruCash Prepaid Card. For full card details including fee structure and usage visit the URL on the back of your card, or refer to the carrier your card came attached to.

Suspending your prepaid card account with truTap™

Please note, once your card has been suspended you will not be able to use your prepaid card account.

Security is our number one priority. If you have lost your card, or think it has been stolen, the truTap mobile application allows cardholders to temporarily suspend their card account. Simply navigate to the “suspend” screen, and click on suspend.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU SUSPEND YOUR CARD, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT. TO UN-SUSPEND, FOR SECURITY PURPOSES WE WILL HAVE TO VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY. PLEASE CONTACT TRUCASH CUSTOMER SERVICE TO UN-SUSPEND AT 1-800-624-6171.
